Anderson & Roe are the duo you didn’t know you needed — but now can’t live without. The San Francisco Classical voice called them "the most dynamic duo of this generation,” and the Miami Herald deemed them “rock stars of the classical music world.”

With Billboard chart-topping albums, Emmy-nominated music videos, and an extensive international touring schedule, the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo aims to make classical music a relevant and powerful force in society.

Since forming their dynamic musical partnership in 2002 as students at The Juilliard School, Anderson & Roe have toured extensively worldwide as recitalists and orchestral soloists; appeared on NPR, MTV, PBS, and the BBC; presented at numerous international leader symposiums; and served as hosts for the medici.tv webcast of the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

This duo’s special, unique brand is being able to turn anything into a stunning piano duet. Their Youtube channel is full of outside-the-box performances and pop songs turned into classical music gold. From The Beatles and Michael Jackson to the Will and Grace theme song, there’s nothing these two can’t play impeccably.

But possibly our favorite rendition of all time is their cover of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, which they composed and recorded even before the 2018 premiere of Bohemian Rhapsody hit theaters. On their website, Anderson & Roe said this about their cover of the iconic ballad:

In creating our two-piano arrangement, we wanted to reclaim the classical roots of the song and honor its operatic spirit by appropriating the styles of Wagner, Liszt, and 18th-century opera buffa. Throughout the music video, we take the operatic narrative literally, incorporating postmodern versions of Siegfried and Brunhilde alongside Mozartean aristocrats (playfully garbed in neon wigs). As classical pianists, composers, and filmmakers, we found it satisfying to delve into the song's classical origins and send the love back to Freddie. In turn, we also wanted the chance to rock out ... which we definitely get to do, as you'll see in the video!

Don’t just take our word for it: watch the video! We promise you will never be the same again!

A love letter to the legendary Queen album, "A Night at the Opera," the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo offers their most over-the-top music video yet: "Bohemian Rhapsody”
